Why does nobody on Ao3 read my Zelda fics?

  I deleted it because I plan on rewriting it. I’m trying to fix the world building issues.
  I’m sorry for people who have to wait, but world building can be a lengthy process. I don’t wanna screw Tolkien canon too much.

I was thinking about the scene in HP Deathly Hallows where Ron faces the locket and it tells him he couldn’t compare to The Chosen One, etc., and then it sort of hit me

What if it was Smaug to Bofur? About Bilbo and Thorin?

Bofur creeps down into the mountain one night after Bilbo first has. He finds Smaug and Smaug can just feel that he desires something, but not the gold, which is why he entertains him at all. He guesses that it’s the clever, invisible thief that came down earlier, and he taunts Bofur about it. Bofur, somewhat under the dragon spell, has a rather more loose tongue than normal and lets on that he thinks Bilbo is attracted to Thorin and vice versa.

Smaug, eager to play with his food first, starts to really antagonise Bofur about it. He sends smoke out from his nostrils in the vague shapes of Bilbo and Thorin (vague because Smaug wouldn’t know what Bilbo looked like, just that he’s not a dwarf, and he had also never personally seen Thorin either) embracing and reasons that no one could ever love him compared to the King Under the Mountain, that he could never hope to compare. Bofur, under the dragon spell, nearly runs back up the tunnel to kill Thorin himself, which is just what Smaug wants—it would be so useful if he could have the dwarves all kill each other. But suddenly, Smaug rolls and Bofur sees the weak spot on his chest that Bilbo mentioned. Remembering all the brave and kind things Bilbo did for them even though this wasn’t his home and he wasn’t a dwarf, Bofur snaps out of the spell and while Smaug is distracted and laughing at his plight, throws his mattock as hard and true as he can straight at the weak spot, killing the dragon.

Um. I didn’t think what would happen after this. I don’t even know if I could write this, but this is such a specific plot bunny. Maybe I’ll submit it to the kinkmeme? Maybe I’ll just suck it up and write it myself when I get home in 3 weeks. But I want this fic so bad now.
